Dear Parents,
Our class read "You are a Social Detective! Explaining Social Thinking to Kids" by Michelle Garcia Winner and Pamela Crooke.
The Social Detective series features "Superflex" who with a team of friends, teaches us about how to be 'flexible'  and "expected"and overcome a team of 'unthinkable' who do things that are "unexpected".
Our first character was Rock Brain!
'
We watched a video from Sesame Street about the word "stubborn"- and discussed how Rock Brain is very stubborn. We then made our very own Rock Brain using play dough.

Our Learning:

"I learned about Rock Brain!"-Kolby, "he goes into people's brains to make them stubborn."
"I liked making Rock Brain Play Dough"-Ibraheem
"I liked playing dodgeball in gym."-Sydney
"I liked learning about Rock Brain!  Defeat him with breathing."-Charlotte
"I learned that if Rock Brain goes in your brain he will make you do stubborn stuff for a really long time."-Wyatt
"I learned that you can defeat Rock Brain by being flexible."-Aengus
"I liked doing our morning work."-Amara
