Dear Parents, 
Brrrrrr!  Looks like old man winter has struck again!   Thankfully the weather is suppose to improve tomorrow. We got a GREAT surprise today in gym- Mr. J let us know that we finished the race for Terry Fox and our school raised over $5,000 for Terry Fox!  WOW!!!!! Hawkwood is amazing!  Thank you so much :)

For Discussion: 
We talked more about Space Invader - the character from Superflex who likes to get into other people's personal space. Uh oh!
Talk with your parents about some of the Superflex strategies we learned to make sure we respect other people's space- and what you can do if someone is invading your personal space.

School News:
FALL BOOK FAIR - USED BOOK DONATIONS NEEDED!
Hawkwood School will be having their semi-annual book fair November 19-22nd. Once again we accepting donations of children’s and adult’s books for our Fall Book Fair. Please consider donating popular titles for children such as:
Diary of a wimpy kid
Bad guys series
Dog man
Mighty robot
Amulet
Elephant & piggie books
Branches series including Dragon Masters
Any books by Raina Telgemeier (graphic novels)

Please do not bring textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines or any items that are too outdated. Used books can be dropped off in the foyer across from the office.
